Hot and Heavy Resale Markets: Five of the top ten all-time secondary sales on Namebase have occurred in the last ten days. We saw a record-setting resale yet again of 69,000 HNS ($6,737) this week, in part from a new trend of high-selling adult names. Porn has always been an early adopter of new tech, and decentralized TLDs appear no different. Though, the current all-time high may be short lived as the z/ auction has multiple six-digit bids 😮.
NameSwap: The name resale market further decentralizes with a new channel to find buyers and sellers for your names. Handshake telegrams channels like NameSwap are akin to the open-air marketplaces where people use to trade Bitcoin in-person. The influx of name trading will, over time, give way to more sophisticated infrastructure for selling top-level as well as sub-level domains.
Foundation: Another organization is purportedly joining existing formalized efforts to help aid the growth of the Handshake ecosystem.

Not Your Keys, Not Your DNS Records: It appears this will be a regular segment in our newsletter as two more DNS domains were targeted in crypto this week. Blocktower’s domain was compromised in an attack last Tuesday identical as done earlier this year on the domain provider of Liquid, Celsius, and Nicehash. Days later, publicly traded digital-asset brokerage Voyager Digital was forced offline after a DNS server was compromised on Thursday.
