The Return of Bob
Bob Extension is back!
Part wallet, part name manager, part resolver — the browser extension for the non-custodial Handshake wallet is back in the Chrome web store. This is Bob Desktop’s lighter weight companion wallet (Bobby?).
The browser extension enables your Handshake wallet to easily connect to apps like Niami for auction bidding or HNS Chat for name verification. Building Handshake apps with a “Connect Wallet” experience akin to Ethereum becomes simpler with a wallet (and resolver!) conveniently tucked into your browser.
For privacy, you can replace the extension’s default RPC with your own full node. Because the Handshake community is familiar with running their own full nodes via Bob Desktop, and those nodes are relatively light with tree compaction (~1 GB), this setup is not just a theoretically alternative. We can, in fact, have trust-minimization and convenience.

Spheron calls themselves the Vercel of decentralized protocols. The platform makes it easy to upload sites to various storage networks (including Arweave, IPFS, and Skynet) as well as connect Handshake domains to those deployments.
