Announcing a new Bluesky server for Handshake domains.
Fascinating! Out of curiosity, are you running the Bluesky team's open source Typescript PDS, with handshake extensions? Or did you write your own?
It's the typescript PDS. It's my understanding that the PDS in other languages (go, rust, etc.) aren't complete yet.
Since Handshake is designed with DNS in mind, overall, the only change to resolve Handshake domains was setting the resolver.
So when are you rolling out new invite codes
No timeline. We are changing how invites are distributed going forward because the system was abused.
What about those who submitted their emails months back to participate in the trail phase? I submitted mine.
Stems is completely different from the main bluesky server. Those submissions are unrelated to our sever.
We got a few thousand users over night and had to close invites because our servers were struggling to support the activity.
So when will it be available?
No plans right now.
